COMMUNITY INSTITUTIONAL
Chinatown Corps Center
San Francisco, CA

OSA completed a major renovation of this 31, 300 square foot mixed-use community center. The scope of work included upgrading the 4th floor chapel, 3rd floor community kitchen & dwelling units, 2nd floor gym & offices, ground floor lobby, basement multi-purpose room, and the electrical, mechanical, & elevator systems. Each assembly space has a design theme related to its use, e.g. a playful motif for the multi-purpose, which is mainly used by children, and a spiritual design for the chapel. The ground floor lobby is being redesigned with stone and stained wood panels. The building was occupied during construction and built in several separate construction phases. On the roof is an 9.7 kWp photovoltaic system that generates electricity for the Center.

Construction contract: $2.89 million.
